Longines returns to the 85th edition of CSIO Roma Piazza di Siena as Partner, Timekeeper and Official Watch. During the four-days of competition in Villa Borghese, Longines was protagonist of two important moments: the FEI Nations Cup Jumping presented by Longines – after 32 years, Italy wins again in front of the warm home public. The Italian team, selected by Roberto Arioldi, composed of Piergiorgio Bucci on Casallo Z (4/0), Alberto Zorzi on Fair Light Van T Heike (0/0), Lorenzo De Luca on Ensor de Litrange (0/5) and Bruno Chimirri on Tower Mouche (9/13) won the podium of the Nations Cup of Rome in two-manchese (here the full rankings).

and the Longines Prize for the Elegance – assigned to the Swedish Jonna Ekberg and to the Italian rider Alberto Zorzi, Chief of the Army, who with his double clear rounds was the main player of the italian team in the Nations Cup on Friday, and second individual place for him in the Loro Piana Grand Prix of Rome on Sunday with 0/4 and 50.32 time, behind the victory of Dutch Jur Wrieling on VDL Glasgow vh Merelnest, the only double clear round 0/0 and 50,52 time (here the complete ranking). This riders distinguished themselves for style and refinement into the arena, and to award the two with a prestigious Longines watch was Francesca Ginocchio, brand manager of Longines Italia.

The 85th edition of this important event of international show jumping was the perfect opportunity to discover the event’s Official Watch, a model of the Longines Equestrian Collection, inspired by the iconic elements of the horse riding world. This timepiece of 30 mm diameter that recalls the shape of the horseshoe, with steel case and embedded diamonds, houses a quartz movement. Its mother-of-pearl dial is embellished with azureed steel hands and diamond indices. The model comes with a stitched brown leather strap, in memory of the amazons’ hold.

L’85esima edizione di questo importante appuntamento di salto ostacoli internazionale è stata l’occasione perfetta per scoprire l’Orologio Ufficiale dell’evento, un modello della Longines Equestrian Collection, ispirato agli elementi iconici del mondo dell’equitazione. Questo segnatempo di 30 mm di diametro che richiama la forma del ferro di cavallo, con cassa in acciaio e diamanti incastonati, ospita un movimento al quarzo. Il suo quadrante in madreperla è impreziosito da lancette in acciaio azzurrato e da indici in diamanti. Il modello è dotato di cinturino in pelle marrone impunturato, in ricordo alla tenuta delle amazzoni.
